The Moulding of Trying Times

2 min read

Early mornings -  the sky blushes with a hint of dawn. A time I use to reflect on days that have tested, stretched and moulded me. The unpleasant moments that linger long after they’ve passed, reminders that among many others, I too - am. They are the trying times. Vessels of self-doubt and fear.  These times have also proven to be the fires that forge resilience and patience. The wind beneath my unyielding pursuit of success.

My world is obsessed with results. We celebrate the winners, the trailblazers, the ones who seem to effortlessly achieve greatness. What we often fail to acknowledge is the price that comes with such success.  We focus on the end product. Forgetting that, like in our own pursuits, the journey is riddled with countless hours of toil and inner battles fought away from the spotlight.

I (we) overlook the patience required to reach the summit.

There’s an old saying, “Be of good joy when you fall into various kinds of temptation.”  Paradoxical if you ask old me. How could one find joy in the face of trials and temptations? Writing this, I am discovering its true meaning. I am learning that patience isn’t the passive waiting for things to change. It’s the active endurance, the quiet strength to keep moving forward, even when the trail is hazy.

Trying times are the crucibles in which patience is tested and refined.

Self-doubt is the constant companion. Its whispers question my worth, my abilities even my right to succeed. It tells me that the mountain is too high.

I am living through The Moulding Of Trying Times.

Vision is what gives me hope to keep moving forward, especially when everything else tells me to stop. Without vision, I would be aimlessly drifting at the mercy of circumstance.

The path to success is rarely straight or easy. It’s filled with obstacles and temptation to turn back. But those who succeed are the ones who keep going, who understand that every setback is just a part of the journey. They know that the price of success is steep, but they also know that it’s worth it.
